In this tourist hot spot, you and your pet--who must always be leashed - can enjoy over a mile of beautiful, sandy Lake Michigan beach, 14 or so miles of hiking trails, and some rocky limestome shoreline and cliffs. This is one of the few state parks where pets are allowed on the entire beach. The place pets aren't permitted are the picnic area and interpretive loop. You must always clean up after your pet. In the winter pets are allowed on any trails not groomed for cross-country skiing. Note: the dunes are protected as a State Natural Area (many endangered threatened resources), so no dune climbing for you or your pet. Located in Door County, it's about 13 miles north of Sturgeon Bay of Hwy. 57 on City Hwy WD.
