Pet Friendly Dog Parks

Here’s the thing about dog parks: They’re everywhere. They might not be apparent at first but if you’re walking around with your best buddy in a major, or semi-major city, there’s a good chance you’re going to end up in one. That’s because dogs like being with dogs and they’re gonna sniff out the places that have them. And that’s when the fun begins.

Many dog parks in cities are fully enclosed and that allows you to take the leash off and watch your dog get some much-needed exercise and play. We’re always scoping out this type of scenario because it’s not easy for animals to stretch out and run while they’re in travel mode. Dog parks also give them the opportunity to mix with their own kind. Same goes for humans. So while your buddy is romping and playing, you can be sitting on a shady bench watching him and comparing notes with other owners who might know some other local places you can explore. So, if you don’t serendipitously end up in one, make finding a dog park a priority at your next destination. You’ll both be glad you did.
