This facility, approximately 10-acres, is located on SR/CR 867, consists of the road sides of two spoil islands built and used to link the mainland to Sanibel Island. The causeway bisects San Carlos Bay a short distance from the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River, that allows bay and gulf side access. Leashed pets welcomed but, please remember to clean up after your pet. The Causeway Islands are open from 7 a.m. to dusk, seven days a week.

Beach is probably the most popular on Sanibel. Great shelling and amenities make it worth the five minute hike from the parking area to the beach. Adventurous beachcombers can walk for several miles on unobstructed white sand beaches covered in shells with their
pets.
Gulfside beach allows pets, if they are on a leash, and you must clean up after them.
