This off-leash dog park is located behind the Trione Sports Complex. There are dedicated areas for big and small dogs, as well as two dog fountains, a grooming area, and three pooper scooper stations. It's open every day, dawn to dusk.
Great little privately owned coffee shop with outdoor seating where pets are welcome. The greatest thing in my opinion is, when you go by the drive thru for a cup of coffee, cappuccino, etc. and have your dog with you, they will give you--if you ask--a small amount of ice cream for your little "side-kick" - no charge! Great southern hospitality.
Hours: 8am-5pm CST
Dogs on a leash are allowed on beaches in the city of Fort Morgan, but must remain on the beach between the Engineer's Wharf and the Fishing Pier. Please visit the website to view a map of permitted areas and note there is a $500 fine for strayingoutside of the permitted areas. Tip: Park at the Fishing Pier because the fort parking can sometimes be a little busy. You'll find the dog-friendly beach runs parallel with the main road (after the gate).
A fantastic seafood restaurant. Enjoy it with your pup in their outdoor seating area, gazing out over the Gulf. Menu includes fun choices like Gator Bites (no joke, morsels of alligator, deep fried or blackened, your choice), Smoked Tuna Dip, Shrimp & Grits, and Oyster Platter.
Dog park with big shade trees with dedicated off-leash areas for big and small dogs. Each area has its own water spigot and the park provides water bowls. Also there are outdoor chairs and picnic tables for the humans.
Services offered dog boarding, cat boarding, doggie daycare and bathing. They have 5 play yards and many activities available for the pets. When you travel to this area and need to spend sometime away from you pet, be sure they have as much fun as you do by dropping them off at The Pampered Pet Resort for the day or the week.
Dauphin Island is a small island south of Mobile. Your dog can run with the wind in his fur, splash in the Gulf of Mexico, or help dig for lost treasure buried on the beach. Most public beaches are not dog friendly but this tiny oasis will make your pup one happy beach goer.
