When you are up for something completely different, head over to this lovely tea room in an Edwardian-style home with a thatched roof. Enjoy your choice of a Ploughman’s Lunch, Afternoon Cream Tea, Victorian High Tea, or a sandwich and salad. No alcohol is served, reservations are strongly recommended, and children under 10 are not permitted. But your canine is welcome at one of their outdoor tables. Open Thursday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We love this bistro with its eclectic menu that's got a healthy dash of Southern. For starters, it's hard to choose between Chesapeake Crab Dip, Panko-Dusted Fried Green Tomatoes with Chipotle Pimento Cheese, and Drunken Chicken Nachos. They have a fantastic selection of sandwiches that include a Chicken Waldorf and a Shaved Prime Rib. More substantial fare includes Southern Meatloaf and Bourbon BBQ-Glazed Baby Backs. Plus they offer a wicked good Sunday brunch. Enjoy it with your pup on their pet-friendly sidewalk patio.
